Municipal Bond Trader – Fixed Income Group

We are seeking a Municipal Bond Trader to join our Fixed Income Group. This role is ideal for a trading professional with municipal bond experience and a quantitative and technology-driven mindset. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing trading strategy, improving execution quality, and investment decision making to achieve desired fund outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Execute municipal bond and money market trades for our municipal index and money market funds with a consistent focus on best execution, liquidity, and risk-aware decision-making.
• Partner closely with portfolio managers, analysts, and traders to develop, propose and execute investment decisions to manage portfolio risk positioning.
• Enhance and evolve systematic and electronic trading strategies, execution models, and workflows to improve efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and developers to advance trading tools and analytics.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with security dealers, and leverage relationships to improve trading strategies and execution.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required with preference for finance, engineering, or other quantitative disciplines.
• 2 plus years of experience in municipal bond or fixed income trading and/or systematic or quantitative trading strategies.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated interest in systematic trading, electronic execution, and market structure.
• Previous computer programming experience or familiarity with programming languages (i.e. Python) is preferred.

**NOTE**

This position will work East Coast business hours and requires in office presence 5 days per week.
