Role Summary

  • This role sits within the Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) Group and reports to the Head of ETF Solutions. The ETF Capital Markets team is responsible for strengthening relationships across the ETF ecosystem, oversight of primary and secondary market activity and supporting institutional and intermediary client engagement. As a part of this team, you will partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote competitive liquidity in T. Rowe Price ETFs, monitor ETF trading activity, and facilitate efficient execution.
  • The role is located in Baltimore or New York. ETFs represent an area of rapid innovation and growth for the firm and require a dynamic and forward-looking professional to help develop T. Rowe’s ETF capital markets platform.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior member of the ETF Capital Markets team with a primary focus on market oversight across T. Rowe Price’s ETF platform.
  • Manage relationships and day-to-day interactions across ETF Capital Markets partners including authorized participants, market makers, institutional sales & trading desks, wealth execution platforms, exchanges, and third-party technology and data vendors.
  • Act as the main point of contact with key decision makers across ETF Capital Markets partners to ensure there is efficient liquidity and support in T. Rowe Price ETFs (LMM, create/redeem, on-screen, basketing, client facilitation, new launches, etc.).
  • Lead efforts to enhance ETF primary market platform and AP user experience; monitor primary market activity including creation/redemption, authorized participant engagement, and onboarding processes.
  • Develop and maintain market surveillance tools to assess secondary market liquidity conditions, market quality, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Serve as a technical expert for intermediary and institutional sales teams and end clients regarding ETF mechanics, liquidity and trading best practices.
  • Represent T. Rowe Price ETFs at industry conferences and participate in relevant ETF panels, webinars, and discussions.
  • Work closely with internal partners across distribution, operations, trading, and portfolio management teams on ETF-related activity and initiatives.
  • Monitor regulatory policy impacting ETF trading; work closely with key stakeholders on market structure and ETF industry developments.
  • Manage various ETF governance and compliance oversight requirements.
  • Manage internal reporting, databases and ETF analytics tools.

Qualifications

Required:

  • College degree required and advanced degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry, preferably in ETF capital markets at an ETF Issuer and/or a background in ETF trading.
  • Deep understanding of the ETF ecosystem, ETF product structure and ETF trading.
  • Preference for candidate with strong existing network within the ETF capital markets ecosystem.
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg and other ETF data sources.
  • Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to influence senior management.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritization and time allocation.
  • Ability to both delegate effectively and execute directly.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to maintain focus and drive results.
  • Series 7 and 63 required.

Preferred:

  • MBA, CFA.
  • 12+ years' experience in financial services.

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Pay Transparency

  • $173,000.00 - $295,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers.
  • $190,000.00 - $324,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
  • $216,000.00 - $350,000.00 for the location of: New York, California.
  • Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
