Who We Are Looking For

Project Manager/Lead Business Analyst for the Portfolio Solutions & Currency Management businesses in State Street Global Markets. The Portfolio Solutions business includes Transition Management & Outsourced Trading functions across Equity Fixed Income, Futures, Options and Derivatives asset classes. The Currency Management business is for managing Currency Exposure on behalf of clients. This is a user/client facing role with desire to work in a collaborative, team-driven environment on business demand analysis and solution design with IT development team from brainstorming, prototyping, development, testing and implementation to production.

This role requires solid financial knowledge in the buy side & sell side trading workflows across multiple asset classes along with strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and good time management.

This role is based in Boston, MA, USA and will work with State Street business users from all regions.

What You Will Be Responsible For

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will

  • Work with internal business users and external clients to gather and understand user demands
  • Analyze and explore business workflow and possible business scenarios; review and evaluate existing business model and future process or solution
  • Accomplish BA relevant artifacts (e.g. functional specification, user stories, wireframe model/data mapping, user guide) to accurately capture user and system requirements
  • Identify, solve or escalate potential issues and risks during development life cycles
  • Collaborate with other roles/teams to deliver consistent and timely results with high quality
  • Establish and maintain strong network relationships with internal/external counterparties
  • Organize and drive meetings. Participate in agile development team as the Product Owner/Business Analyst role
  • Work closely with on-shore and off-shore team members. This includes other program/ project managers, business analysts, developers and QA personnel
  • Liaise with key stakeholders in the Portfolio Solutions (PS) Trading, PS Operations, PS Compliance, Currency Management as well as Risk & Regulatory reporting. Coordinate tasks, requirements and deliverables with other SSGM groups

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 12+ years experience in Financial Services. Specifically in Investment & Trading systems.
  • 7+ years managing highly technical teams and projects
  • Successful track record of delivering projects and programs using lightweight or agile approaches.
  • 10+ years financial services / technology industry experience
  • Proven experience working with OMS applications; Fidessa ASP preferred
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated use of testing methodologies and tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strength in initiative-taking, leadership and influencing skills
  • Ability to analyze large volume of complex data quickly, identify key risks and drive them to closure
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast–growing and changing environment
  • Experience front-office, middle-office and back-office workflows demonstrating knowledge of the full lifecycle of a trade.
  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle for iterative, agile, and traditional approaches. Experience with JIRA a strong plus.
  • Strong background in Requirements Gathering and Use Case development. Ability to translate business requirements into a technical solution.
  • Profound knowledge of financial products.
  • Team player, detail oriented and self-motivated to drive work to proceed with minimal supervision.
  • Multiple tasking ability. Good time organizational skills to manage project priorities.
  • Enthusiasm in work with good self-learning ability.
  • Good tech skills; database tools/SQL.

Salary Range

$110,000 - $188,750 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
