Structured Finance specializes in originating, advising, and structuring financing for specific large-scale, long-term projects for corporate and government clients. Projects can include energy exploration or production, public-private partnerships, or private finance initiatives often focused on public infrastructure. The Energy Finance Associate is responsible for the origination, structuring, distribution and trading of syndicated bank loans and other credit products to major corporations and institutions, as both issuers and investors, of their assigned own new business development goals.
- Supports marketing and origination of new transactions by preparing or supervising preparation of pitch books and marketing materials and attending client meetings with senior colleagues.
- Create, modify or otherwise utilize financial models, and produce detailed analysis, in support of the group’s origination and execution activities.
- Leads or supports the production of credit applications, offering memoranda and engagement letters.
- Researches /analyzes industries and market data.
- Leads certain aspects of transaction execution, coordinating the underwriting process, due diligence, documentation and interface with other areas (credit, syndication other products involved).
- Leads or supports in the structuring of the transaction: review of the key features of the financing strategy and any financial documentation.
- Operates within compliance parameters and demonstrate sound business judgement.
- Collaborates and coordinates with other departments and develop internal network to enhance effectiveness.
- Develops and maintains expertise in primary sectors covered by the Structured Finance team including helping develop ideas and related content.
- Oversees junior level staff from a financial, operational, competitive and industry perspective.

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Business or equivalent field. - Required.
- 3+ Years Structured Finance / Project Finance, Business Development, or related experience. - Required.
- Demonstrated successful execution of syndicated loan transactions.
- Intellectually product savvy, energetic, and self motivated with strong initiative to achieve sales goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office products - Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to influence and drive complex initiatives and manage logistics with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze/understand leading technologies and companies.
- Ability to travel within assigned territory as required.
- Strong analytical / problem solving skills.
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Expert presentation and public speaking skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Certifications
- Registration for FINRA SIE must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

What Else You Need To Know
The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
Base Pay Range
Minimum: $175,000.00 USD
Maximum: $225,000.00 USD
