The Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) VP - Leveraged Finance Credit Risk is responsible for risk analysis and independent oversight and effective challenge of credit quality of his/her assigned portfolio and new transactions. They are responsible for all aspects of credit quality including compliance with requirements of regulators and internal policies and standards.

The Vice President will review, challenge, and recommend or decline credit requests, including underwrites, revolver holds, derivative transactions, trade finance, etc.

  • Provides oversight and effective challenge on credit analysis, modeling, and committee papers written by the 1st Line of Defense.
  • Ensures that transactions are taken to and approved at the appropriate forums in line with credit policies and standards.
  • Provides independent oversight of credit quality of assigned portfolio, including risk ratings and regulatory risk ratings.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for Leveraged Finance, while guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team.
  • Recommends appropriate changes to structure and/or terms when waiver and/or amendments are requested by underperforming clients.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent field. - Required.
  • 6+ Years Credit Risk Management, including 5+ years within Leveraged Finance Credit Risk. - Required.
  • 6+ Years Financial Industry experience. - Required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of credit policies and procedures, regulations and applicable law(s).
  • Demonstrated credit analysis skills for understanding/monitoring client and industry financial performance.
  • Demonstrated track record interacting with the regulators, external and internal audit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management, work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize activities, manage conflicts of interest, delegate, and meet deadlines while working in a fast paced-environment.
  • Strong presentation skills.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range:

  • Minimum: $101,250.00 USD
  • Maximum: $185,000.00 USD
