The CIB, Structured Finance & Advisory - Analyst researches, analyzes, and prepares support documents and client presentation materials as requested by the team and management.

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements

  • Create, modify or otherwise utilize financial models, and produce detailed analysis, in support of the group’s origination, execution and portfolio activities.
  • Lead or support the production of credit applications and memos, offering memoranda and engagement letters.
  • Research/analyze industries and market data.
  • Support and lead certain aspects of transaction execution, coordinating the underwriting process, due diligence, documentation and interface with other areas (credit, syndication other products involved).
  • Support in the structuring of the transaction: review of the key features of the financing strategy and any financial documentation.
  • Operate within compliance parameters and demonstrate sound business judgement.
  • Support marketing and origination of new transactions by preparing pitch books and marketing materials and attending client meetings with senior colleagues.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other departments and develop internal network to enhance effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in primary sectors covered by the Structured Finance team including helping develop ideas and related content.
  • Support underwriting and structuring of new infrastructure and real assets transactions, including new originations, refinancings, extensions, upsizes, consents, and amendments.
  • May work in financing and advisory verticals across energy, digital, infrastructure, funds finance, and commercial real estate. Asset classes may include but not limited to solar, onshore and offshore wind, transmission, BESS, fuels, LNG, midstream, data centers, fiber / telecommunication, transportation, and social infrastructure.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Business or equivalent field. - Required.
  • Ability to be flexible, adapt to changing priorities and prioritize deadlines.
  • Ability to manage and uphold departmental standards.
  • Process-oriented, detailed and strong aesthetic sensibility.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) with ability to learn new software(s).
  • Proven ability work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and project management skills.
  • This position is designed for a highly motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing investment banking environment and demonstrates strong judgment, ownership, and commitment to Santander’s risk culture.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent: in Finance, Business or equivalent degree. 1+ Years Finance, Business or related field/sector - Preferred.

Certifications

  • Registration for FINRA SIE must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

What Else You Need To Know

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Minimum:
$110,000.00 USD

Maximum:
$135,000.00 USD
