Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Evaluates a variety of investment grade private ABS investment opportunities that encompass various industry sectors and deal structures.
- Analyzes, structures, prices and manages large and/or complex transactions and presents recommendations to credit committee as part of a deal team.
- Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis used in the underwriting process.
- Monitors a portfolio of investments, prepares credit update memos and makes recommendations (buy, sell and hold) to portfolio managers.
- Manages investments in high-quality private placement securities and/or investments in a wide variety of private placement securities, including investment and non-investment grade securities.
- Maintains an asset allocation approach to enhance investment performance and maximize returns while appropriately balancing risk.
- Analyzes economic, industry and company data, and develops detailed financial models to support investment decisions.
- Assists in maintaining relationships with deal sponsors, investment banks, investment funds, and other deal flow sources.
- Represents the organization at industry conferences, sponsor meetings, and market events to enhance deal flow, market intelligence, and position the firm as a preferred capital provider.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with portfolio management, legal, operations, risk management, and compliance teams to ensure seamless transaction execution and ongoing portfolio management.
- Maintains deep knowledge of private ABS market dynamics, regulatory developments, rating agency methodologies, and emerging sectors including fintech.
- Mentors and develops junior investment professionals while contributing to the development of investment policies, underwriting standards, and analytical frameworks specific to private ABS.
- Partners with internal and external legal counsel to negotiate and refine transaction documentation.
- Develops detailed cash flow and collateral performance models.

- 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred

- Minimum 3+ years of ABS investing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of ABS investing experience
