Job Summary:

  • MUFG is seeking an Associate/VP to join the Securitized Products Group to help originate and execute warehouse and term ABS transactions in on the run asset classes including auto loan/lease/floorplan, credit cards, equipment, student loans, fleet lease, unsecured consumer loans, and others.
  • MUFG is a market leader in securitized products and providing innovative financing solutions to its clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the deal team in originating and executing warehouse and term ABS transactions, which includes analysis, idea generation and execution.
  • Develop pitch book materials to support transaction pipeline.
  • Support and execute all aspects of transactions, including reviewing and analyzing portfolio specific data and cash-flows, coordinating internal processes related to warehouse financing, and managing all stakeholders to execute warehouse and term ABS transactions.
  • Aid senior team members in relationship development with clients including responding to requests, generating detailed analyses and in person meetings.
  • Oversee and train analyst and associate colleagues to complete pitches and execute transactions.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including credit risk, syndicate, sales and trading teams, and with third parties such as legal counsel, accountants, rating agencies and investors to execute transactions.
  • Participate in special assignments and projects as required.

Qualifications

We require:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • A minimum of 5 years related ABS work experience.
  • Prior ABS banking experience required. Experience in traditional ABS asset classes is preferred, but not required.
  • Expert understanding of ABS transaction structures and processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Ability to learn new asset classes quickly.
  • Strong decision making skills, the ability to demonstrate sound judgment.
  • A proactive, motivated approach, and ability to take ownership of projects.
  • The ability to operate with urgency and prioritize work accordingly.
  • A creative and innovative approach to work.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint).

Pay Transparency

The typical base pay range for this role is between $225-$272K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
