The Analyst will join the Commercial Real Estate Debt Asset Management team, collaborating closely with Investments, Portfolio Management, Capital Markets, Operations, Finance, and Legal. The team is responsible for the oversight of a large portfolio of commercial real estate debt investments.
Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor and manage a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate credit investments.
- Review and analyze underlying property financial reporting to assess business plan execution and property performance; identify and escalate any potential performance issues.
- Review and interpret loan documents to ensure underlying compliance with loan terms and covenants.
- Support senior team members by providing research and analytical support for borrower consent requests, loan draw requests, property releases, as well as major lease and budget approvals.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly asset summary reports, including asset performance analysis and updated cash flow forecasts; present findings to internal decision‑makers.
- Periodically travel to collateral properties with senior asset managers.
- Coordinate closely with the investment team to support relationships with underlying borrowers.
- Prepare investment committee materials for loan modifications and consents; partner with internal and external legal to evaluate requests and effectuate approvals and modifications.
- Support loan origination efforts through the review and approval of underlying loan documentation, term sheets, and third-party reports.
Requirements
- 2 - 5 years of experience in real estate, investment banking, brokerage, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or related discipline.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
- Highly motivated and highly organized self-starter.
- Meticulous attention to detail and high standards for accuracy, timeliness, and precision.
- Ability to learn quickly and solve problems creatively.
- Strong work ethic with a desire to keep learning in areas outside of their comfort zone.
- Proficiency in Excel and data visualization skills in PowerPoint.
It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based non-exempt position will be $110,000-$125,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
