Job Description:

The Real Estate Capital Markets team is seeking an Associate to join the team responsible for managing, structuring and executing on debt financings across Blackstone’s global real estate portfolio, with a primary focus on data center investments and digital infrastructure. Blackstone is the largest owner of data centers globally with a portfolio of over $150bn. The Associate will have the opportunity to lead a wide range of capital markets transactions across CMBS, ABS, US private placement, project finance, 144a project bond, leverage finance and fund level finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategizing and providing analysis on optimal executions for acquisitions and refinancings
  • Analyzing and tracking existing debt positions to identify accretive refinancing opportunities
  • Modeling various executions across different types of financing for both construction and stabilized markets
  • Negotiating financing terms and transactions
  • Spearheading the execution and closing of transactions working closely alongside the acquisitions and asset management teams
  • Leading the preparation of materials used to solicit bids from lenders on financings
  • Maintaining close relationships with all financing partners across banks and various institutional lenders and investors

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience across real estate, infrastructure, or adjacent sectors
  • High proficiency of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly motivated and diligent
  • Contribute positively to the collegial atmosphere of the team

Expected annual base salary range:

$125,000 - $160,000
