Job Description

The Treasury Capital Markets team leads funding and risk management initiatives for both Blackstone as a Firm, and the Funds that Blackstone manages. The team’s broad responsibilities include: debt capital markets, credit facility structuring, and FX and interest rate risk management.

The Analyst role will focus primarily on subscription and NAV backed finance and credit/debt capital markets initiatives for BX:

  • Support the structuring and negotiation of subscription and NAV backed lines of credit for Blackstone and its Funds
  • Support syndication and execution processes for credit facilities across the portfolio
  • Collaborate with BX business lines to assess their current and future liquidity needs and work with banking partners to secure financing
  • Execute the issuance of letters of credit for Blackstone and its Funds
  • Coordinate with banking counterparties as well as internal stakeholders on day-to-day credit line borrowing and repayment activities
  • Monitor, control and ensure that all line of credit loan activity is accurately captured and processed in the Treasury Management System and review/authorize the release of all principal, interest and fee payments.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of monthly and quarterly interest payments for the entire credit line universe
  • Produce regular month-end/quarter-end reporting and assist with any ad-hoc inquiries from deal teams and finance personnel
  • Participate in the implementation of automation initiatives across the Treasury platform working with counterparts in Operations, Finance and Technology
  • Provide coaching and oversight to the offshore support team with a focus on efficiency, transparency and control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a quantitative discipline with 2 + years of experience in an origination, credit or operational role
  • Prior Fund Finance experience (in an origination, portfolio management or operational capacity) is preferred but not required
  • Skilled in working in a dynamic environment and handle multiple projects while prioritizing deliverables and meeting demanding deadlines in support of a growing/evolving business
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high EQ, to confidently and competently handle interactions with banks, investment professionals, business COOs / operations teams, and senior management
  • Desire to drive process transformation and automate manual processes
  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word; experience with Anaplan or Tableau or VBA a plus

Expected Annual Base Salary Range

$90,000 - $125,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
