Job Description

Provide support to the Capital Markets & Bank Relations team with respect to liability capital markets, financing, and bank relationship management activities for the Credit & Insurance business (“BXCI”). Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Work on debt financings for both single-asset and portfolio transactions, including modeling, lender diligence and materials, proposal comparisons, and the review and negotiation of credit agreements and related transaction documentation with legal counsel
  • Collaborate with portfolio management teams and banking teams to build efficient financing structures and portfolios
  • Support debt and equity capital markets activities, including the issuance of private and public bonds out of select BXCI funds
  • Prepare materials and market updates for debt investors, rating agencies, banks, fund boards, and internal committees
  • Participate in meetings with bank partners, create briefing notes for senior management, and maintain ongoing engagement data to assist in holistic management of BXCI’s bank relationships
  • Interface with capital raising and distribution partners, portfolio managers, risk, middle office / operations, and custodians
  • Conduct ongoing liability management and analysis of financing and capital structures for BXCI’s funds
  • Manage data analysis and rating agency interactions to receive and maintain asset ratings for rated financing vehicles
  • Assist with ongoing organization of team project pipeline, ensuring opportunities, materials, and timelines are clearly tracked and accessible
  • Collaborate with internal BX teams to design and implement AI-enabled tools, embedding AI into day-to-day workflows and leading internal efforts to drive adoption and innovation
  • Develop new relationships with banks, insurance companies, and other sources of financing and/or investment opportunities for BXCI funds
  • Provide general support to the capital markets and financing functions of BXCI

Qualifications

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, have sound judgement, are intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical skills, the successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 2+ years of experience, ideally working at an investment bank, consulting firm, or credit asset manager. Experience and familiarity with debt capital markets, credit investing and leveraged finance markets is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication, financial analysis, data management, and presentation skills
  • Motivation in leveraging AI and automation tools to improve workflow efficiency, enhance data analysis, and reduce operational errors
  • A high degree of proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel and excellent attention to detail
  • Critical thinking skills, including identifying trends and insights from raw data sets
  • High degree of motivation and works well independently
  • Experienced in handling multiple tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and manage both internal and external business relationships

Expected annual base salary range:

$125,000 - $160,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
